Reintroduction

Hello, thank you for joining me here. It’s been a while since I have written anything here. A lot has changed over the last 6 years, I am in a different chapter of my life.

I am now mum to a 5 year old and over this time my business took a back seat as I have been taking care of my family and enjoying my daughter as she has grown so far and getting to know myself as a first time mum.

Over the last year, I have been taking on wedding cake bookings and I have done several special cakes for family weddings and special birthdays. These have been great to ease myself back in and not put too much pressure on myself.

I was pleased to take on Marc and Rebecca’s wedding earlier this year. Their wedding was an Italian themed affair at Hazel Gap Barn and they had 3 tiers of lemon and blueberry and white choclate and raspberry, which they said they enjoyed. I created the floral arrangements too, provided by Flowers by Touch of Charm. This leads me on to my personal highlight of this year - my own wedding in Italy! My now husband and I (mostly I!) planned our dream day on the shores of Lake Como. Did I make my own wedding cake? Absolutely not! We had a traditional Italian Millefoglie wedding cake. It was very different to English weddings as the wedding didn’t start until 4.30pm. The weather was perfect, sunshine but not too hot. We didn’t do wedding favours, instead, we surprised our guests with sunset boat rides, it was a highlight of the day. The venue was stunning and the suppliers we worked with were nothing short of amazing and very professional. We spent several days in Como with our guests and had an incredible time, topped off with a minimoon in Venice.
